Forging My Own Path
I am Saumya and I work on building Embrace Her Lead's community and partnership outreach. Born and brought up in a small town in India, I grew up in a society that was patriarchal and dictated how women should behave and live their lives.
My Journey as a Graphic Designer
In 2020, the year that changed most of our lives, I decided to pursue something that I had always been interested in but never had the time to focus on - graphic design and illustrations. In my day job, I work in the fashion industry and I am a garment technologist. Within my job, I have always had a level of creativity.

When I was six months old, my parents packed up our suitcases and soon we made the move to Singapore. From then onwards, I’ve lived in about eight countries, experienced different cultures, and gained diverse perspectives with a new set of lens everywhere that life took me.
